Universite D’Abomey Calavi, Republic
of Benin as a way of celebrating the international Youth day 2010
If we want to have a new Africa, we must understand that our problem is not tribalism; it is selfishness, greed and corruption, all which gave birth to poverty resulting to wickedness in low places. If you are going to be part of the making of a new Africa, you must first deal with the selfishness, the irresponsibility to other persons’ plight and the inability to resist monetary temptation aimed at making you to trade your vision for this continent for perishable money.
We must understand that good name is to be desired above many riches. To put it right, the richest man on earth is the man with the best name. If Mandela wants any amount of money today, he does not need to be president of South Africa again before getting that money. Because his name is already collateral for any amount of money he would want.
Remember
that no one that will build our continent (Africa) for us if not
Africans; we can build Africa by our positive
words and actions,
others are building their own continent that is why, you want to leave
Africa to elsewhere. Why not let join hands and build our great continent
Africa. We urge you the youth to be more active in the society for
social development and growth of the nation as we are the leaders of
today and we will ultimately become the recipient of our promise of
