NAYD: Are we Aware of Our Strengths?
We live in a continent where youths make up a significant segment of the population, with unemployment being their greatest Chi Primus Cpredicament. This has consequently created a culture of mistrust by these youths towards their governments and lack of patriotism towards their nations. The few dedicated youths that have a sense of patriotism and determination to forge ahead with the development of their countries and continent, are faced with the dilemma of limited resources. This issue in particular ignited the creation of the Network of African Youths for development (NAYD), whose main goal is to gather youths together, to share resources for the purpose of enhancing and sustaining development.

Most often when we hear of resources, the immediate impression that comes to mind is finance. However, resources go far beyond the financial realm. NAYD draws together associations from diverse degrees of competences. Lending our individual competences to each other will be a unique and relatively easy means of sharing our technical human resources. NAYD will therefore have to nurture and sustain in her member associations the noble act of sharing; unselfish sharing.

Member associations have to realize and acknowledge that their strengths do not only lie in their number, and youthful exuberance and enthusiasm but in their technical diversities as well. To effectively harness these virtues, we have to carry out our activities with passion and infectious optimism; doing them as if our lives and survival depended on them. With such a spirit, can some one please convince me why we can’t succeed? Chi Primus C.
