The one day event in the name of Gathering of Nations 2009, is a global event initiated by Richard Fletcher in Melbourne, Australia and founder of the Universal Peace Society. In commemorating this global peace event, we in Liberia, as a youth led organization called the Network of African Youths for Development (NAYD Liberia) www.nayd.org/liberia.htm , successfully implemented a one day peace event on September 21, 2009 in celebration of the global peace conference initiated from Melbourne, Australia by Richard Fletcher.
