Message
from (previous) Country Co-ordinator Matthew Nyarkoh
I am a young confident and assertive team-player who has the ability to
work with different groups of people
from different backgrounds and cultures.
At present, I am an Ambassador for United Action, a Global project that is established
to accomplish the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals and a teacher.
I am the President of Youth for Democracy and the Country coordinator for NAYD – Ghana.
My major interest is Human rights, gender equality and youth development concerns.
There have been many ups and downs in my life, but I believe every experience
has helped me grow as a person and brought me new insights.
I know that getting a good education is the most important thing to help me reach
my goals.
My philosophy of life is to live your own life to its fullest and don't interfere
in the lives of others.
I believe everyone has potential to follow his/her dreams. If you recognize your
skills and talents then work hard, you will be successful in whatever you do.
I think every situation presents choices and offers hidden opportunities. If
you take advantage of these opportunities, and make the right choices, your life
will be happy and productive. So, I am always eager to learn new things, seize
every opportunity, and do my best to choose the best path to make a good life.
So, I never miss a chance to make the best use of the opportunities I'm given.
I am always eager to learn and search for new things to learn about.
I am a debater, orator and a teacher.
The following is a list of accomplishments and experiences I have had -

National Youth CSOs Coalition on Climate Change
The
Ghana National Youth CSOs Coalition on Climate Change was formed in
August 2007 in Accra after series of consultation with a number
of youth groups in the country. The formation of the coalition was
triggered by the consistent environmental and climatic situation affecting
the development of young people and the country as a whole. Some of
these worse situations which were bedeviling the country were the shortfall
in the nation's major energy source; the Akosombo Dam due to the rainfall
pattern, this had an adverse effect on industries and homes. More
