Global Hepatitis Prevention Initiative (GHI) is a Nonprofit making, Non Governmental, youth-based Organization set to engage youths and young individuals around africa to promote priority issues relevant to putting an end to the increasing prevalence of infections with viral Hepatietis B and C among the youths. Our passion is clearly to motivate, empower and provide opportunities for these youths from various regions to become instruments of change, pioneering political advocacy and designing effective hepatitis prevention and outreach programs within their local communities. GHI also works to facilitate the inclusion of skilled and powerful young leaders in high level meetings to participate in decision-making that affects them.

We therefore act as a Convener: networking youths together from across regions and sectors, to work together on issues of VIRAL HEPATITIS; A Catalyst: launching new hepatitis projects, actively seeking new solutions, providing vital training and technical assistance to facilitate other existing projects; A Collaborator: working closely with partners and government agencies to plan and implement sustainable hepatitis projects within communities, and maximizing our impact by looking for best practices. GHI is listed on the United Nations Civil Society Organization (CSO) database and currently pursuing a consultative status with the UN-DESA.

Mission
To empower youths and young individuals with the skills , knowledge, resource, capacity and opportunity to scale up hepatitis prevention and advocacy.

Vision
To prevent the spread of infections due to viral hepatitis B and C among low income rural communities in Africa

Main Objective
To prevent the spread of hepatitis related viral infections among people, especially youths.

Activities
We work as a Convener: networking youths together from across regions and sectors, to work together on issues of VIRAL HEPATITIS;
